Hi Kara and welcome Sheila! As I read your last entry, I knew exactly where that bakery was where you enjoyed your Diet Coke. Do they still sell Haagen Daaz ice cream there? I remember the feeling that this amazing part of the journey is almost over and you are almost home. Always remember that not only is Sheila the "Lucky Baby" that the Chinese so affectionately refer, but you are the "Lucky Mommy" too! Never again will you wonder why your life took you to China. Every time you look at Sheila, every time you talk about her to your friends and your family, and every time you think of her, you will know that you were meant to be her mommy, and she was meant to be your precious daughter. We can't wait for you to come home! Love, Clare, Mark, Lydia and Jordan Hurrelbrink
Hi Kara, wonderful that you are home with Sheila now! From what I can see in the picture of her with the pink animal in her hand, her left arm looks exactly like Ying Xins - even with the same angle, curving inwards. With Ying Xin that was corrected by an operation, to straighten it again. I am curious as to what the American docters will say about her arm. You can see Ying Xins before and after pictures on my blog, in this post:

Scroll down to 'Voor en na'('Before and after'). The pink dress picture is before, the others are after.
All the best from The Netherlands! :-)
Regards
Karen
